The Crazy Times of Pandemic Shopping

Everything seems to be a blur these days since the Coronavirus ("COVID-19") pandemic made its way into America. Restaurants closed, movie theaters closed, travel halted. At this point, it's hard to predict how bad this pandemic will get. Already the worst of the panic is happening in grocery stores where items we take for granted (toilet paper and disinfecting wipes) are suddenly becoming a treasure hunt (if anyone gets lucky to find any).

This recent toilet paper surge also reminds me of a skit from The Carol Burnett Show. Because if it isn't Kirkland, Charmin, or Cottonelle, it probably doesn't even pass as toilet paper.

Between the panic shopping and everyday life drastically altered, it's hard to stay optimistic that this pandemic will pass in no time. But being an optimist is what I will be going forward. There goes the idea 2020 was going to be a fantastic year.
